This month we celebrate Deavonnie Spadoni, our Operations Coordinator who you  might know better as the face and voice of Dynamic Computing. With over a year at the company (although it feels like forever), we talked about chicken nuggets, the Mariners, and being stranded on a desert island to get to know her better.

How did you get your start at DC?
I was working as a Personal Trainer, and wanted to get back into the corporate world. I spent a few months looking around at jobs and getting a feel for what would be the best fit for me - I wanted to work somewhere that I was able to make my mark within the company, but also be able to interact with and give back to the community.  I wanted to be a part of a business that was constantly pushing their employees to find new ideas and never settle.  I found Dynamic and felt it would be a great fit, and give me the opportunity to put my skill set to work and challenge me to grow.

What do you like most about your job?
I love putting on all of the events, from small happy hours to our first big client event!* I love the process of planning events - I  always ask myself “how can we make this event even better than the last,” and my imagination goes wild with new ideas. The best part is seeing how excited and happy everyone is when the big day arrives. There’s nothing I love more than to sit back and watch everyone enjoying the party.

What do you like the least?
Probably the commute to and from work everyday. It’s nice to get a little extra reading time in, but during the winter everyone is wet from the rain, and sick. I feel like I need a plastic bubble to protect myself from getting the flu every other week.

What was your first job?
I was a Ball Girl for the Seattle Mariners, and it was magical. I got paid to sit on the sideline and watch the Mariners play (we were still on our losing streak, but whatever).

Do you have a motto or personal mantra?
“Every pizza is a personal pizza if you try hard and believe in yourself.”

What’s the worst pickup line you’ve ever heard?
“You look like my next ex girlfriend.”- Worst
“Girl, lemme buy you some chicken nuggets.”- Best (I am now engaged to him)

Who is your least favorite superhero?
The Flash. After falling off the treadmill while wearing a Flash shirt, everyone at the gym called me ‘Flash’ until I moved gyms a year later. Obviously I haven’t gotten over it yet.

What are you currently binge-ing on Netflix?
I have a sick addiction to all things food related, so I am currently wrapping up “Salt, Fat, Acid” and then moving back to ol’ reliable and re-watching ‘The Office’ for the 400th time.

If you were stuck on a desert island with someone at DC, who would it be and why?
Jason, because he would hate every minute of it.

Do you have a surprising fact about yourself?
I took hula for 10 years.

If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?
Italy. My family is very Italian. We even have a street named after us! I also want to eat everything until I am physically ill and can no longer fit on a plane to come home.

What’s something you hate, but wish you loved?
Cardio. The only thing I like to run away from is my problems.

What Deavonnie's coworkers have to say about her:
"Deavonnie has taken over planning and organizing all of our company's extracurricular events, and our work environment and office culture are more fun as a result."

"She's super easy to work with, plans the best events, and always handles our office things so well. She schedules like a pro, so no one has to worry. She openly appreciates people for their efforts, and makes me laugh every day!"

"Deavonnie is the glue that holds this place together. She helps clients, makes sure everyone in the office has what they need, and puts on amazing events for employees and clients alike. More than that, her humor and attitude make coming to work enjoyable, even on hard days."
